As a small continuation/spin-off from a previous project, I decided to try recreate miniature versions of the alien helmet prop from our film Forestry 101 (Directed by Ethan Ukrainetz).

I used bent bobby-pins wrapped with masking tape to create the wonky antennae. I crushed aluminum foil into tiny spheres and glued them to the tips of the antennae, further sealing them with coats of clear glue. The helmet base was formed by hand using air-dry clay.

After drying overnight, I first coated the mini sculptures with white acrylic paint, followed by the final design (also acrylic paint) and sealed the paint with clear glue.
